Expired OSHA HAZWOPER (40-hours)

This 40-hour course is required for all individuals either employed as Hazardous Waste Site Workers, requiring access to hazardous waste sites or working with hazardous materials; including but not limited to Health & Safety Professionals, Environmental Engineers, Environmental Consultants, Laborers, Equipment Operators, etc. This course is conducted over a minimum of five (5) days and includes both formal classroom instruction as well as physical hands-on training. Successful completion of this course satisfies OSHA Training requirements under (OSHA) 29 CFR 1926.120.

Course Topics to include: Incident Response, Chemical Hazards, Safety Hazards, Confined Space Hazards, Medical Emergencies, Air Monitoring Instruments, Hazardous Atmospheres, Routes of Exposure, Dose/Response Relationship, Toxicity, Exposure Guidelines, Respiratory Protection (hands-on), Protective Clothing (hands-on), Site Reconnaissance & Entry, Radiation, Response Organization and Emergency Response Exercise (hands-on).

 

Course Registration Policies

NYS Driver’s License ID # or NYS Driver ID

All students must have a valid NYS Driver’s License or NYS Driver Photo ID . If you do not have a valid NYS drivers license or NYS Photo ID, students must visit a NYS DMV to have an Image Capture Only “ICO” completed and be issued a 9 digit DMV ID number prior to attending the class.

Attendance Policy

Students are required to arrive on-time and be in attendance for the full duration of scheduled training. Late arrivals or early dismissal for any reason will result in forfeiture of training spot and tuition.

Registration Policy

QuES&T shall guarantee a class opening for all students who have pre-registered online or have forwarded a valid purchase order, attendance roster and have confirmed receipt by speaking with a Training Department Representative. All students who have not pre-registered will be included in the class on a first come/first serve basis. Payment must be made prior to inclusion in the training class and must be made by company check, money order, or major credit card.

Cancellation Policy

To receive a full refund, cancellations will be accepted up to (5) business days prior to the first day of class. If the cancellation is made less then (5) five business days prior to the first day of class the account will be credited towards future training. Tuition is non-refundable to the individual canceling on or after the first day of class. A fee of $50.00 will be charged for any returned check.
