This course is designed for personnel who work in construction or industry who are subjected to the potential of falls or falling objects during the completion of their work activities. This training is required for any person who uses ladders, scaffolding, manlifts, work at heights or work beneath other overhead operations. The course is conducted over am minimum of one half day. The total instruction time of 4 hours includes both formal classroom and hands on training. Successful completion of this course satisfies OSHA training requirements under (OSHA) 29 CFR 1926.500.503.
Topics include: Identification of Fall Hazards, Trades Covered by the Standard, Employer Requirements, Training Requirements, Fall Protection Systems, Falling Objects, Fall Prevention Systems, Fall Protection Plans, Employee Responsibilities, Use of Safety Harness and Lanyards (hands-on), Case Study.
