This course is designed for housekeeping, custodial, janitorial and maintenance personnel who work in buildings that contain lead-based paint or lead containing coatings. The safe work practice element of this course covers workers who may disturb lead-based paint or lead containing coatings in buildings other than child occupied facilities, schools, HUD housing and any other facility which requires EPA lead license. This course is conducted over a minimum of two hours. The total instruction time of 2 hours includes only formal classroom training. Successful completion of this course satisfies OSHA training requirements under (OSHA) 29 CFR 1926.62.
Topics include: History of Lead, Identification, Current Regulations, Health Effects, Proper Cleaning Techniques, Building Walk-Through.
