This course is designed for personnel who are responsible for using data gathered by inspectors to assess the asbestos containing materials hazard in buildings, determine the appropriate response actions and develop a schedule for implementing response actions. Prior completion of the Asbestos Inspector course is required. This course is conducted over a minimum of two days. The total instruction time of 16 hours includes only formal classroom training. Successful completion of this course will enable the individual to apply for Management Planner certification by New York State and fulfills EPA accreditation requirements.
Topics include: Evaluation & Interpretation of Survey Results, Hazard Assessment, Legal Implications, Selection of Control Options, Role of Other Professionals, Developing Operations & Maintenance Plans, Regulatory Review, Recordkeeping, Assembling the Management Plan and Financing Abatement Actions.
