Intended Audience: Construction industry and building trades personnel, employers, contractors, union personnel and consultants.
This 10-hour course is intended to provide instruction to entry level participants on a variety of construction industry safety and health standards. This outreach effort, aimed at promoting workplace safety and health will be taught by an authorized trainer. Please note: OSHA course completion cards will be issued to all participants. This course is conducted over a minimum of one and a half days. The total instruction time of 10 hours includes both formal classroom and hands on training. Successful completion of this course satisfies OSHA Training requirements for 10-Hour construction safety training required by many construction management companies and large commercial/industrial facilities.
Topics include: Introduction to OSHA Standard, OSHA Act and General Duty Clause 5(a)(1), Subpart C: General Safety and Health Provisions, Competent Person Requirements, Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Controls, Hazard Communication, Personal Protective Equipment, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety, Excavations, Process Safety Management, Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Elevators and Conveyers, Motor Vehicles and Mechanized Equipment.
