UpcomingOSHA Lead-Safe Work Practices (4-hours)

This 4-hour course is designed for construction, housekeeping, custodial, janitorial and maintenance
personnel who work in buildings that contain Lead-Based Paint or lead-containing coatings and
covers workers who may disturb Lead-Based Paint or lead-containing coatings in buildings other
than child occupied facilities, schools, HUD/Target housing or any other facility which requires EPA
lead licensure. This course is conducted over a minimum of two (2) hours, up to four (4) hours, and
solely includes formal classroom training. Successful completion of this course satisfies OSHA
training requirements under 29 CFR 1926.62. Course Topics to include: History,
Locations/Identification of Lead, Current Regulations, Health Effects, Proper Cleaning Techniques,
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Abatement Control Options, Personal Hygiene, Medical
Monitoring, Clean-up & Disposal, Recordkeeping, Etc.

Topics include: History of Asbestos, Identification, Current Regulations, Health Effects, Proper Cleaning Techniques, Building Walk-Through.
