Expired Project Monitor Initial (40-hours)

This 40-hour course is designed for personnel who oversee the scope, timing, phasing and/or remediation methods to be utilized on and the completeness of any asbestos project. This course is conducted over a minimum of five (5) days. The total instruction time includes both formal classroom instruction as well as physical hands-on training. Successful completion of this course will enable the individual to apply for NYS certification as a licensed Project Monitor (PM).

Course Topics to include: Core Topics (History, Identification, Current Regulations, Health Effects, Protective Clothing, Abatement Control Options, etc.), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Federal, State & Local Asbestos Regulations, Abatement Work Practices, Medical Surveillance & Monitoring, Personal Hygiene & Decontamination Systems, Work Area Preparation & Installation of Protective Barriers/Containments, Clean-up & Disposal, Safety Hazards, Personal Air Monitoring & Reporting, Legal Liability & Insurances, ASTM E1368 Standard Practice for Visual Inspection of Asbestos Abatement Projects, Final Visual Clearance Workshop, Air Monitoring Workshop, Final Examination (multiple choice), Etc.

**Any individual looking to obtain this license MUST have a NYS Dept. of Motor Vehicles Driver’s License Number or Non-Driver ID Card (DMV-ID) as required by the NYS Dept. of Labor Licensing Unit.

 

Course Registration Policies

NYS Driver’s License ID # or NYS Driver ID

All students must have a valid NYS Driver’s License or NYS Driver Photo ID . If you do not have a valid NYS drivers license or NYS Photo ID, students must visit a NYS DMV to have an Image Capture Only “ICO” completed and be issued a 9 digit DMV ID number prior to attending the class.

Attendance Policy

Students are required to arrive on-time and be in attendance for the full duration of scheduled training. Late arrivals or early dismissal for any reason will result in forfeiture of training spot and tuition.

Registration Policy

QuES&T shall guarantee a class opening for all students who have pre-registered online or have forwarded a valid purchase order, attendance roster and have confirmed receipt by speaking with a Training Department Representative. All students who have not pre-registered will be included in the class on a first come/first serve basis. Payment must be made prior to inclusion in the training class and must be made by company check, money order, or major credit card.

Cancellation Policy

To receive a full refund, cancellations will be accepted up to (5) business days prior to the first day of class. If the cancellation is made less then (5) five business days prior to the first day of class the account will be credited towards future training. Tuition is non-refundable to the individual canceling on or after the first day of class. A fee of $50.00 will be charged for any returned check.
