Expired OSHA-10 Hour (Construction & General Industries)

This 10-hour OSHA Outreach Training course provides an entry-level introduction to the Occupational Safety & Health Administration, inclusive of general safety awareness and preventing hazards for workers performing duties in the OSHA Construction Industry (29 CFR 1926) or OSHA General Industry (29 CFR 1910). The training covers a wide variety of safety and health hazards which a worker might encounter in their workplace. OSHA recommends workers receive additional training on other hazards which are specific to their particular job functions (i.e. fall protection, confined space, scaffolding, trenching, cranes/derricks, aerial lifts, etc.). This course is conducted over a minimum of two (2) days. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA 10-Hour Outreach course completion card within 4-6 weeks.

Course Topics to include: Intro to OSHA, OSHA Focus Four Hazards (fall protection, electrical, struck by, caught in between), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) & Lifesaving Equipment, Health Hazards & Hazard Communication, Electives may include: Materials Handling, Storage, Use & Disposal, Hand & Power Tools, Scaffolding, Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Elevators & Conveyors, Excavations, Stairways & Ladders, Industrial Hygiene, Other Construction Hazards & Policies, Final Examination (multiple choice), Etc.

Course Registration Policies

NYS Driver’s License ID # or NYS Driver ID

All students must have a valid NYS Driver’s License or NYS Driver Photo ID . If you do not have a valid NYS drivers license or NYS Photo ID, students must visit a NYS DMV to have an Image Capture Only “ICO” completed and be issued a 9 digit DMV ID number prior to attending the class.

Attendance Policy

Students are required to arrive on-time and be in attendance for the full duration of scheduled training. Late arrivals or early dismissal for any reason will result in forfeiture of training spot and tuition.

Registration Policy

QuES&T shall guarantee a class opening for all students who have pre-registered online or have forwarded a valid purchase order, attendance roster and have confirmed receipt by speaking with a Training Department Representative. All students who have not pre-registered will be included in the class on a first come/first serve basis. Payment must be made prior to inclusion in the training class and must be made by company check, money order, or major credit card.

Cancellation Policy

To receive a full refund, cancellations will be accepted up to (5) business days prior to the first day of class. If the cancellation is made less then (5) five business days prior to the first day of class the account will be credited towards future training. Tuition is non-refundable to the individual canceling on or after the first day of class. A fee of $50.00 will be charged for any returned check.
